With GOLFest*, an important aspect
of golf that was lost is reintroduced. Not so long ago in
the short history of golf, people seemed to consider
the sport much more like a social activity than a competitive
sport. Gaston de St-Pierre, the author of the avant-garde
GOLF COMFORT* method, pretends that only thirty years
ago, good golfer performances were in good part the result
of the strong social aspect related to the sport.
Today, equipments are better than ever and scores are
worst than ever before; some people in the golf history are
very worried about the long term consequences from the fact
beginner golfers can’t be retained to the sport. People only
count on their individual motivation to compete against everybody
as we tend to do at work. They hope to play better without any
outside support and that is much more difficult. Gaston thinks
that most golfers are missing an important element of collective
type that is related to sport achievement; it is that typical social
club friendly atmosphere he calls the collective motivation. In
the GOLFest* positive environment, each member is invited
to share their desire for accomplishment and their motivation
with the other club members. It seems to work even better when
men and women golfers do other types of activities than golf together.
Gaston thinks that before 2010, the actual negative trend of just
playing for ourselves without sharing motivation will begin to disappear
with GOLFest*. It will progressively transform itself into the collective
motivation phenomenon. Though, it seems to be the second reason
that will help more and more golfers to play better. The first one is the
adoption of GOLF COMFORT*, which differentiate itself from the traditional
technique because it is more than a technique. As a matter of fact, it is a
complete learning method with a compatible approach. That makes
GOLF COMFORT* the most balanced learning tool and the most technically
accessible. (www.golfcomfort.com)
So, GOLFest* is reintroducing that special and positive atmosphere
OFF the courses… to profit from that collective motivation ON the courses.
Golfer members will be offered all kinds of year round activities. There is
no membership fee; golfers get their free card at their first participation.
Activities will range from social (special guess meetings, wine and cheese
tasting sessions, etc. ) to year round travel offers at the best prices (golf,
outdoors, snow sports and adventure travel, etc. ), presentations of new
products, accessible supervised physical conditioning and many others
related to golf. Suggestions are welcome. Most activities will be held in
collaboration with such partners as golf clubs, hotels, enterprises of all
kinds, etc. . The list of the collaborators will be published on this site so
we can encourage them.
Let the GOLFestivities* begin!
Watch for the first activities to be held; they will soon be announced on this site.

This is EXCELLENT NEWS for all
GOLFERS; this means they will

of advantages and privileges in
the GOLF department of each SCA*

My SCA* link (in French only for now). The

and benefit from GOLFitting*, a custom
made golf club service.
They also can

For those who aspire to do some good business or a
custom made career in GOLF, there is the non traditional
GOLFest* franchises.
The new type of franchises offered are the most accessible
on the market today; they are of a new type. For the purpose
of an example, we suppose there is five hundred stores. To
briefly illustrate the new formula, let say that instead of having
to purchase five hundred products for one store as in a traditional
environment, each new formula franchisee purchases one -or few-
product sold for him in five hundred stores by adequately trained staff.
Related to the example, as a matter of fact, the store chain
promoters plan to operate five hundred stores before 2012.
One of the main features of the new franchise formula is that
overhead fees are practically non existent. The franchisees
don?t have to pay the overhead fees related to the operation
of a store such as the rent, the telephone, the snow removal
and even the employees salaries and the marketing.
For details, one must consult the www.golfest.net
web site (in English soon).
Happy Golf. Gaston de St-Pierre, GOLFest*
